Information the game stores

Gunmetal Orbit stores your saved run, run history, settings, and progression locally on your device. On Steam, Steam Cloud keeps a synced copy of those files with Valve so your progress follows you between computers. LineCrush Games does not receive that data from the game.

To help track down stutters, the game also keeps a performance log on your device. It records when a frame takes too long and why, plus your graphics hardware and display settings. Each run in your history also notes its frame rate and slowest frames. The log stays on your device. Steam Cloud syncs the run history notes like the rest of your history. Nothing is sent to us unless you choose to share the log with support.

Accounts, analytics, and advertising

• No LineCrush Games account is required.
• No in-game analytics or telemetry is sent to us.
• No advertising SDKs or behavioral tracking are included.
• No in-game purchases are included in the current release.

Platform services

If you obtain or launch the game through Steam, Valve may process account, purchase, device, or usage information under its own privacy terms. That platform processing is separate from Gunmetal Orbit and is controlled by Valve.

When you play through Steam, the game also uses these Steam features: Steam Cloud syncs your save files as described above; achievements you earn are recorded on your Steam account; your Steam friends can see a status line with your current wave, hazard level, and spacer; and Daily Contract scores are posted to a public Steam leaderboard, where other players see your score next to your Steam display name. Your Steam privacy settings control who can see your profile and game activity.

If the Discord app is running on the same computer, the game shares a Rich Presence status with it: that you are playing Gunmetal Orbit, your current wave, hazard level, and spacer, and how long you have been playing. Discord shows that status on your profile under its own privacy terms, and you can hide it in Discord's Activity Privacy settings. The game does not send it to LineCrush Games.
