Write a Steam review

An honest review is the single most useful thing you can do for a small indie game. Steam only counts reviews written on Steam, so this is the place.

What to include in a bug report

Game version. The small v-number in the bottom-right corner of the title screen.
Platform. Windows, Linux, or Steam Deck, plus gamepad or keyboard and mouse.
What you were doing when it happened, and whether it happens every time.
A screenshot or short clip if you have one. Steam's overlay captures both.

Manual and guides

The game manual, quick reference and read-me cover controls, every system in the game, system requirements, save file locations and troubleshooting. They are also listed under the game in your Steam library.

Crashes and technical issues

On Steam, use Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files first. It fixes most corrupted installs.
Make sure your graphics drivers are current. Gunmetal Orbit runs on the Godot engine with the Forward+ renderer.
Still broken? Post in the Steam discussions with your hardware and the details above.

Updates

Fixes ship as regular Steam updates and install automatically through your library. Every version is listed in the changelog, so you can check whether the thing you hit is already fixed.

Save data

Gunmetal Orbit stores saves locally on your device, and Steam Cloud keeps a synced copy with Valve. LineCrush Games has no account system and holds no copy. If a save behaves unexpectedly after an update, reach out before deleting anything and we will help you recover it.

Steam Deck

Gunmetal Orbit is built Steam Deck first: native 1280×800, gamepad-first controls, and a 60 fps performance target. Valve hasn't rated it for Steam Deck yet, so the store page has no badge. Deck issues are treated as first-class bugs, so please report them.

Refunds

Purchases made on Steam are refunded by Valve under the Steam refund policy. Request one through Steam Support. We cannot process Steam refunds directly.

Privacy

For how the game and this website handle data, see the Gunmetal Orbit privacy policy. No LineCrush account is needed, and the game sends no analytics or telemetry to us.

Not on Steam yet?

Gunmetal Orbit is only sold on Steam. Questions before buying are welcome in the discussions too.
